Alongside her international career as a concert pianist, Lana has more than a decade of experience as a piano and chamber-music teacher. Since 2025, she has taught piano and chamber music at Musikskolan Lilla Akademien in Stockholm, where she maintains a very small and select studio, offering students individual mentorship and regularly works works with advanced students preparing for competitions, auditions and professional performance. Since 2026, she has held an ongoing Guest Artist position at the Lang Lang Academy in Hangzhou, China, returning for further teaching engagements in 2027.

Suran’s teaching is rooted in the same values that define her own musicianship: curiosity, artistic integrity, and a deep understanding of music as both a craft and a form of expression. She is committed to helping students develop their individual musical voices while building a strong technical and interpretative foundation. Her students have been awarded top prizes at international piano competitions, reflecting the results of her thoughtful and dedicated approach to musical development.

Suran has taught and given masterclasses at the Lang Lang Academies in Hangzhou and Shanghai,  Mannes Preparatory Division in New York, the European School in Brussels, Salisbury University in Maryland and the American Conservatory of Music in Paris. She has also served as a teaching assistant to several of her mentors, gaining further experience in guiding young musicians at different stages of their artistic growth.

An advocate for artistic exchange and musical dialogue, Suran is regularly invited to give masterclasses internationally. Students and institutions interested in lessons, masterclasses, or educational collaborations are welcome to get in touch.
